Manpreet Hora’s research examines the risk of operational failures and how managerial decision making is influenced by prior experience in such failures. More specifically, his research focuses on learning from low-frequency high-impact operational failures at the industry, firm, and the process levels.
Prior to joining academia, Dr. Hora worked at Deutsche Bank in various capacities in Singapore, New York, and London. His last appointment involved managing an operations team in foreign exchange derivatives in Frankfurt, Germany.
His teaching interests include: Operations Management, Service Operations, and Risk Management in Operations and Technology.
