Jesse E. Olsen is
a doctoral candidate in organizational behavior. His research interests include workforce
diversity, diversity management, and international and cross-cultural topics. He is currently working on his dissertation, which explores the effects of an organization's approach to diversity management on potential applicants' perceptions of organizational attractiveness. Jesse has a forthcoming conceptual publication in Human Resource Management that uses a social psychological approach to explore the effects of expatriates' demographic characteristics on their adjustment during international assignments. He is also involved in cross-national research that empirically explores individuals' reactions to organizations' diversity management efforts. Before pursuing his doctoral degree, Jesse was a business project manager in the Merger Integration Office and Corporate Strategies Group at SunTrust Bank. Prior to his employment at SunTrust, he was the international exchange coordinator at Kwansei Gakuin University in Nishinomiya, Japan.
